The past 2 weeks, an adventure i wasn't quite ready for ...
2 Saturdays ago a friend got in a bit of trouble on his way home from a local strip club, after having a few beers he got caught up in a dui check point, needless to say he acquired a dwi and found out he lost his DL , it being no longer in his possession the local state troopers locked him up in the drunk tank, and suspended his driving privilege for 30 days , In to this situation i was drug, the following day he asks me if i would e willing to be his driver so he can still work, you see he works on equipment that is used to help diagnose cancer all over the eastern sea board , i said yes not realizing what i was getting my self in to , by day 2 of getting up at 5 am, i was dragging, and by noon i could hardly keep my eyes open, sooo 2 weeks later 8 trips to Durham NC one to Spartunburg SC and finally a 4 day weekend while he goes home to Texas to try to get a replacement DL im exhausted, i slept till 2 pm today! but in these journeys i have seen places i have never been and had the chance to work on my photography, soo here are the pics i have taken over the past two weeks, while missing out on time with my husband and family, and loosing
money in my etsy store.... this first batch are all in SC and a stop on the way home at south of the border taken with my crappy cheap walmart camera , this second batch are of Duke university and the sara p duke gardens..

Thee are bunches more on my new smart phone which i havent quite figured out yet as play time with it hasent been an option driving 12 and 16 hours a day, i really dont know how much more of this i can take, i still havent gotten the feeling back in my butt and im not to sure it will come back, Nor am i sure after wenesday upon his return wenesday, i am not sure i will drive him any more, its beginning to get in the way of what life i do have , i make money off my etsy store and commissions off Deviant Art , hes only paying me 450 for a frigging month ive already lost out on that much in 2 weeks having to turn down jobs.. what to do? make his pay me for the income ive lost or just tell him to go screw him self? hubby wont let me do the latter... what a conundrum...

Thoughts and prayers
Christmas night my family received a devastating phone call, My mother is in a burn center in Memphis Tennessee, with burns to her entire right hand arm and splash burns all down her right leg and foot, she has been heavily medicated and has been very our of it, has had one round of skin grafts that seem to be taking but it is still going to be a very long road before she can even consider leaving fireman's memorial burn center , with constant prayers she seems to be doing better , but she will never be able to use her hand again which means she will never work again, she is in mental anguish and more worried about my fur brother Kota than her own recovery, With our financial difficulties and a lack of a vehicle being 13 hours away my hands are tied when it comes to going to be with her, I hate she is alone and has no one by her side. So thoughts and prayers are all i can give her right now.
On a Brighter note, my 1 year wedding anniversary is on the eleventh of January and my husband who is one of the gift inept , (we have been together almost 5 years and he still has no idea what to get me ever, like its hard crafting supplies ,fabric , heck a box of junk i could make in to something else, would pure t tickle me to death, ) i had to step in this time because the constant build up of ohhh hes got something planned this time only to be let down with just a "happy what ever day" is killer on ones well being, sooooo i took matters in to my own hands, opening up the web browser to the gift i want and using the sticky note app left a huge hint that even he couldn't mess up oh yes i went there, i had to !
All we needed was 1 -3 oz box of flavored gelatin and 3 – 1/4 oz packages of unflavored gelatin, water and candy molds. (i used two candy molds)
Place 1/2 cup water in a small sauce pan. Sprinkle the Jello and unflavored gelatin over the water. Let sit 5 – 10 minutes. (If you like chewier gummi candy add in another packet of unflavored gelatin.)
Place sauce pan over medium heat and stir until gelatin is dissolved, about 2-5 minutes. When mixture is liquid and all gelatin has dissolved, remove from heat. Let cool a minute and then pour into a container that is easy to pour from. I use my measuring cup because it has a spout .
Fill molds. If you save the inside of the advent calendar for projects like do, it works perfect! The sheet of star molds worked a bit better than the bears because they are a bit deeper.
Allow to cool completely, about 20 minutes. They may be placed in a refrigerator for about 10 minutes if you are eager.
Once cool, the backs can be lightly dusted with corn starch, if desired.
Peel the gummi candy out of the molds. Don’t be shy, you won’t hurt them when peeling them from the molds. No need to oil the molds unless you use deep molds and in that case like a batch of mine i highly suggest using cooking spray,
Enjoy!
So today i have a recipe to share as well, Gummies , my husband favorite food of all times , gummy bears to be exact but he is not to picky most of the time, though he will kill a whole huge Sam's 6 pound bag of mineral oil gummy bears in 2 days, soooo ive started making him gummies , the taste is not the same obviously but they are sooo much better for him and dont cause the gastric upset of ingesting like a half a gallon of mineral oil, soooo on to the recipe,

A day in the life of a creative sparrow
Ive decided to jump in to the world of blog land and share my creative exploits with the world, I am 30 years old and have lived a very difficult life and over came it, My life revolves around My husband and our 3 dogs and of course my general craftiness, i have been sewing since as long as i can remember , sitting in my mom and grannys lap guiding fabric through the machine while they pressed the peddle .Now i have my own Etsy shop i sell from as well as i use other internet avenues and flea markets swap meets and craft fairs. Not a day goes buy that i don't make something new weather its trying a new recipe i found on pintrest or its working on a new order that came in from etsy, or a gift for a friend or family member, i drive my husband nuts with my craft stuff every where in our camper. So this blog will be a little bit of every thing , my projects, neat things i feel i need to share, my love of my little pony( i have a slight obsession ) maybe a guest post or two from fellow artist and marvel comic artist Joe Miller, recipes life lessons and much more, so keep an eye out for much much more!
Sincerely
Hope
